Master Cosmetologist (Hairdressing) Licence Qualification Requirements

Any individual that holds a Cosmetologist (Hairdressing) licence must have three (3) years' consecutive working
experience in a registered cosmetology establishment plus three (3) approved professional development credits
in order to be eligible for Master designation.
IMPORTANT: any individual that obtained Master Licence designation after January 1, 2019, must maintain that
designation by providing the Cosmetology Association with confirmation of one approved upgrading credit every
two years in order to qualify for Master designation.
AGM where you keep upwith information and changes that may be happening in your industry, a 0.5 credit.
NOTE: If you would like to take a specific program that is not approved for upgrading and you feel it should be an approved course for upgrading, please, have the instructor or company contact the Association to have the program approved or click here for the course approval application.

the Association or review the list of courses currently approved by the Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia
