The Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials is a valuable resource for obtaining information regarding the recognition of foreign credentials and other relevant and related topics (such as Immigration to Canada, Refugees, Studying and Working in Canada.) Excerpt from the CICIC website: "To have your academic credentials and professional qualifications recognized in order to work in Canada, the first step is to find out which organization is responsible for assessing and recognizing, but also what documents are required. This depends on whether or not your occupation is regulated."
Cosmetology and all related fields are regulated in Nova Scotia by the Cosmetology Association.
